The following is a selection of videos that I've shot and assembled. The themes span from tragic to funny to just plain weird. The clips are optimized for broadband connections.

WTC 9.11.01
1:57
September 11, 2001
Sony DCR-PC100
On September 11th and the months that followed everyone kept seeing the
same images of the towers coming down, along with commentary by Dan
Rather and company. Here's what was experienced by a group of people
gathered togther that morning, in their own words. |

770 Tour
4:15
October 20, 2000
S. Lance Nealy - "Echoveb (770 Remix)"
Sony DCR-PC100
This is footage of James Starkman giving a tour of 770 Broadway, MTVi's
headquarters. This was before one of the round of layoffs, and a lot of
the people in the shots were eventually canned. We were in the middle
of pre-production for an MTV2 project and needed to blow off some
steam. Eventually the project got canned as well as Starky and myself.

Help Me
2:19
October 13, 2000
S. Lance Nealy - "Starky Two"
Sony DCR-PC100
There was a period of time before MTV.com moved in when we were some of
the only non-Sonicnet people at 770 (we were with technology - go
figure). That was the fun time, before the darkside descended on the
building. We used to take breaks to screw around in the studio with my
camera. The plan was to turn these pieces into Easter Eggs, but we
never placed them on the site.

Project 770
1:23
September 6, 2000
S. Lance Nealy - "Starky One"
Sony DCR-PC100
Our first attempt at an Easter Egg came out with Starky resembling an
arcade character from the 2600 days. Interesting what you can do with
Nightshot & the mosiac effect. And of course we threw in a Matrix reference.

MTV2 Promo ID CDB#1
0:21
October 13, 2000
S. Lance Nealy - "Starky Three"
Sony DCR-PC100
After watching a rather simple MTV2 promo on-air, Starky and I figured
we could make one in less than 30 seconds, so we ran to an empty
conference room and came out with this. It beats the old "This is your captain!" promos they used to run.

The Wacked Robots
2:51
September 23, 1998
S. Lance Nealy - "Robots"
Sony DCR-PC100
This was shot way back in the day at 1515 Broadway when I had only been
at MTV.com for a little over a year. We were working late one night,
and for some reason we gravitated to the art director's office and
started playing with wind-up toys. It ended up being an Easter Egg on
the site for about a year before people got wise to it. I recut it in
2000 for an MTV2 Easter Egg.

MTV Movie Awards 2000
3:03
June 3, 2000
Beastie Boys - "Groove Holmes"
Sony DCR200a
In 2000, MTV.com sent us out to cover the Movie Awards Red Carpet
arrivals. Our host lured celebs over to chat, by offering them her
jacket to autograph. We later auctioned this off for charity. We got a
ton of footage, a lot of which isn't in this package, however, the
infamous Tom Green "head sign" is here.
